COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

Written by Jasmin Uttamchandani | Jun 19, 2020 12:58:09 PM

All people who've come and gone have seen some sort of germ infestation take over their generation. So whether it's the bubonic plague or cholera; Corona is making the rounds this time.

And while we don't have control of what is happening externally, we do have control of how we can manage things internally.

Here's a guide on how to keep your immunity up this season!

Build your immunity!

Drink a lot of lemon and water as Vitamin C is extremely effective in fighting off germs. And viruses cannot survive in an environment high in Vitamin C.

Eat a lot of fruits and vegetable. Rinse the skins nicely and enjoy nutritious meals. As a good rule of thumb, the more colorful the fruit or veggies, more are the nutrients.

Lemon, honey, ginger and a pinch of turmeric in it, make an excellent immunity boosting beverage. Drink up!

Soak up the Sun!☀️

The World Health Organisation suggests 5-15 minutes of casual sun exposure a few times a week. And this is more than sufficient to keep Vitamin D levels topped up!

This one small action plays a crucial role in immunity and can help protect against a list of ailments like asthma, depression, heart disease and cancer.

Take steps to protect yourself

  • Wash your hands nicely. For at least 10-15 seconds minimum.
  • Carry hand sanitizers with you which have at least 60% alcohol in them.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Excercise daily for at least 15 minutes. Even an in-place jog or planks, any little bit will keep your body strong.
  • Drink a lot of water!
  • Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds after coming from a public place.
  • Wear a mask whenever you leave the house. If you don't have a mask, tie a handkerchief or scarf around. It will help limit the exposure.
  • Spray disinfectant with one part solution and three parts water on your door handles and cupboards, just to be extra sanitary.

Grounding - Recharges your cells🍃

I’ve always found that being amidst nature – whether it's the sea, a forest or the mountainside; always eases my worries and helps me relax.

Exposure to nature works by lowering stress, and immune-cell function improves after standing on the grass barefoot.

This is called grounding and if you've got a garden in your house or complex, use it to detox and recharge your system.

Nature, it seems, is particularly good for strengthening our main virus-fighting cells and cancer-surveillance system. Aromatic substances called phytoncides from trees and plants bring about these amazing health benefits..

Stress lowers our immunity, and keeps us at ease. So, be at ease.

Keep your mobile phone clean

It's been said that your mobile phone is just as dirty as a toilet seat, so it's time to step up and do something about it.

Your mobile phone is a constant companion. So keep clean it at regular intervals.

Step 1 - Unplug attachments

Step 2 - Remove phone cover

Step 3 - Mix water and rubbing alcohol in a sprayer or dish.

Step 4 - Spray the mixture on a clean microfiber cloth

Step 5 - Wipe the mobile on the back and front thorough

Step 6 - Use cotton buds to clean the speakers and plug points. Do a through job!

Step 7 - Rinse the cover squeaky clean in soap and water.

Step 8 - Air dry mobile and cover

Step 9 - Wash hands. Back to the basics. Always wash those hands!

Encourage your staff or community members to protect their personal health.
